Peperomia Watermelon is a slow-growing houseplant of small dimensions which looks fantastic on the windowsills or tables. It is characterized by attractive waxy foliage of thick structure in the shape of small hearts. The leaves seem to be frilled, having different shades of green color on their surface. The coloring can vary from light green to dark green. Its small dense foliage can be a great decoration for the interior and the plant itself can add some coziness to the house as it brings some good energy into the house. It grows best in bright spots with no direct sunlight. It can tolerate partial shade, but the brightest color of the leaves will appear in bright diffused sunlight. Water the plant with approximately 1 glass of room temperature water when the top few inches of soil seem to be on drier side to the touch (about once a week depending on the growing conditions). Don’t let the plant sit in soggy soil, especially during cold season. Peperomia Watermelon is shipped in 4” pot. The plant prefers high level of air humidity. Feed the plant with a mineral compound fertilizer for the foliage plants during growing season once in two-three weeks. The height of the plant shipped varies from 6” to 8” which is measured from the bottom of the pot to the very top of the plant. The width of the plant is between 6” to 8”. The repotting of the plant is made once in a few years in the early spring, since the soil can lose all its useful properties during this time.
